BinaryM is heading to WordCamp Phoenix

Not only does BinaryM love WordPress, we are huge fans of WordCamps.  If you are a WordPress developer, designer or end user, WordCamps are simply the best ticket around.  In the past few years, we have hit stops for San Francisco, Los Angeles and Orange County and this week we are headed out of state to WordCamp Phoenix.

Unlike the traditional WordCamps, Phoenix is going to be a massive five day, four track event.  After a short flight from San Diego on Thursday, we’re digging into the festivities right away with the Free Friday Workshops.  Sadly, we had to choose between a workshop by our friend and WordCamp LA organizer Austin Passy who is covering Child Theming & Frameworks and an Intro to WordPress MultiSite taught by Boone Gorges. While we are going to be sitting in with Boon, we *highly* recommend Austin’s talk for designers.  After lunch, and hopefully a good beer (or two), we are back to class with Intro to BuddyPress.

On Saturday, the fun begins as we hop from room to room for the main event.  With so many great speakers, it really is going to be a game time decision on which talks we sit in on.  I can say that some early favorites so far are A/B testing the WordPress Way, Advanced Javascript and WordPress for Non-Profits.  Regardless of where we find ourselves, we know the talks are going to be great.

Last but not least, we are very excited to head over to Four Peaks Brewery for the after party.  So much so, BinaryM is proud to be a sponsor for the happy hour.  Who knows, maybe with a large enough tab, we can talk to the owners about ditching their FLASH site for WordPress. Yuck!
